A sales position in the department Sales & Marketing, reporting directly to the director Sales & Marketing.

The position is based in our facilities in Zundert, the Netherlands, but requires that you are willing to travel on 4-5 days per week. Mostly in The Netherlands and Belgium, frequently to Germany and increasingly to other countries in Europe. A full-time contract is prefered, though 4 days a week can be discussed.

Due to the nature of the activities and position in the company a profound understanding and fluency of both the Dutch and English language is required. Practising the German language or the willingness to take a course has a preference.

In this position it will be helpful to have some technical background. Knowledge on electronics or lighting will proof very useful, though is not prerequisite.

• Listening to the customer, trying to understand his needs and wishes and knowing how to create customer intimacy by building a relationship are your key strengths.
• Yet, you are also persistant enough to get the deal closed and the order timely delivered. A realistic timing and at a for Rena beneficial profitability.
• You understand by nature that since we are only selling custom made products understanding the customer needs and dilemma's is more important than telling what we have to offer.
• You accept this job comes with flexible working hours and the job is only done when the deal is closed.

Job Content

• Development and realization of account plans, turnover and profitability, based upon the annual sales plan.
• Building and expanding a european customer network and activities. Partially by supporting the commercial contacts of our partner in the lighting market.
• Maintain existing relationship and develop suspects & prospects by regular visits throughout Europe.
• Translate customer demands into product configuration and/or development projects
• Lead customers to an Request For Quotation, develop the quotation, including calculations, and ensure follow-up leading to the closure of deals.
• Close cooperation with internal project managers and orderdesk.

Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for finding the right customer, sending the right quotation and closing the most interesting deal.
• Full accountability for meeting the customer specification, defining the optimal lead time for both customer and Rena an selling at a profitable price level, while respecting the Rena guidelines.
• Responsible for the commercial development of the appointed accounts and customer categories and the realization of the turnover targets.
• Responsible for the internal communication and proper hand-over of projects, deadlines and financial restrictions.
• You manage the customer contact upto the RFQ stage and the commercial closure of a deal.

Requirements

• MBO+ / HBO education in a commercial, marketing or technical study
• Several years of experience in sales on European level
• Knowledge of lighting, LED's and/or electronics is required
• Knowledge of financial calculations and MS Office is required
• Excellent commercial / communicative skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
